Case study 1: A
52-year-old type 2 diabetic patient with CKD 5. Receives dialysis. GFR 9 ml/min/1.73 m2.
His
fasting glucose is 310 mg/dL (70 mg/dL). His laboratory results showed blood
urea nitrogen level of 34.4 mg/dL (8-23 mg/dL), serum creatinine level of 3.61
mg/dL (0.5-1.3 mg/dL), total protein level of 55 g/l (60-80 g/l). Proteinuria is 0.2 g/l.
